She gave us a lot of space - a light but deft touch. She kept us on time, was predictable, trustworthy and reliable, and built and maintained a safe learning container 100% of the time. Role-model-level restraint: she said only what she was confident of and never pushed the group to believe anything in particular. She freely shared resources with us. Overall, excellent.

Having facilitated many courses myself, I immensely appreciated how she made sure everyone got equal speaking time, and kept a good ratio of letting people react to one another without getting sidelined when new issues needed introducing. She was excellent at suggesting further reading - and honest about where her own knowledge was more limited, pointing us to other sources.

I really appreciated that she gave space for the group to express our opinions and respond to a question before sharing her own. It gave us ownership and a shared sense of involvement.

What made the peer experience so valuable was how she set the tone at the beginning: we'd all come to learn and grow and bring it into our professional practice, not to vent. The early 1:1s helped us get to know our peers, so in group discussions we were comfortable asking each other directly for feedback. She was a demon with the clock and kept everything on task.
