Engagements scoped to outcomes

A fixed-scope AI Workflow Audit to start, then four ongoing ways to work together - each with a clear audience, defined deliverables, and the outcome it exists to produce. If your need sits between these, the workshops track flexes to fit.

Fixed-scope audit

AI Workflow Audit

For teams adopting AI

A fixed-scope audit of how AI should move through your team's work - anchored to the goal that matters, prioritised by impact, and decided task by task: what to automate, what to augment, and what to keep human.

Format
Fixed scope · 2-3 weeks · remote
Book the audit

What’s delivered

  • A prioritised map of your workflows, scored by frequency, effort, and impact
  • Task-by-task calibration - automate, augment, or keep human - with the risk and judgment trade-offs made explicit
  • A repeatable prompt-and-control pack so the team works consistently and safely
  • A board-ready roadmap and a 60-minute leadership readout

Outcome

A clear, prioritised plan for where AI earns its place - and where human judgment stays.

1-on-1 AI-safety career mentorship

For individuals

Structured 1-on-1 mentorship for people moving into AI safety and governance who want a clear, realistic next step.

Mentorship starts from where you actually are - a researcher pivoting into safety, a policy professional going more technical, or a career-changer testing whether the field fits. Sessions are working sessions: we set concrete goals, pressure-test your direction, review real applications and writing, and build the judgment to make your own calls long after the engagement ends. You set the agenda; I bring honest feedback and a map of the field.

Mentorship tracks

  • AI Strategy
  • Frontier AI Governance
  • Technical AI Safety

What’s delivered

  • Recurring 1-on-1 sessions with defined goals
  • Field navigation: research, policy, and industry paths
  • Honest feedback on direction, applications, and positioning

Outcome

A concrete, realistic path into the field - and the judgment to walk it.

Course facilitation & cohort design

For teams & programmes

Facilitation and cohort design for AI safety and governance education, drawing on years of facilitating international cohorts.

Drawing on years facilitating international cohorts, sessions are designed so participants do the thinking - structured discussion, equal speaking time, and frameworks they can carry straight into their own work. The facilitation suits technical and non-technical audiences alike, and the curriculum is shaped to your cohort rather than delivered off the shelf.

Formats

  • Cohort design & curriculum framing
  • Live facilitation
  • Train-the-facilitator support

What’s delivered

  • Cohort design and curriculum framing
  • Live facilitation for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Frameworks: incentive mapping, kill chains, defence-in-depth

Outcome

Participants who can apply AI-strategy concepts in their own domains.

Workshops & teaching

Custom

Tailored workshops, executive briefings, and teaching that build shared AI literacy across technical and strategic teams.

Workshops and teaching are built for a specific room: an executive team that needs a shared read on AI risk, a technical group that needs the strategic picture, or a mixed audience that needs both to talk to each other. Each is scoped and built for your context and outcome.

Formats

  • Bespoke workshops
  • Executive briefings
  • Guest teaching & talks

What’s delivered

  • Bespoke workshops scoped to your context
  • Executive briefings on AI risk and adoption
  • Teaching that bridges technical and strategic language

Outcome

A team that speaks one language about AI risk and opportunity.

For organisations · What’s changing, and when

The obligations are arriving on a clock

The EU AI Act applies in stages. Some duties are already live; the heavier ones land in 2026 and 2027, and the preparation that makes those dates manageable takes months of work.

  1. Feb 2025Live

    Prohibited practices & AI literacy

Bans on unacceptable-risk AI apply, alongside staff AI-literacy obligations.

  2. Aug 2025Live

    General-purpose AI model rules

Obligations for GPAI models and the EU AI Act governance structure take effect.

  3. Aug 2026Upcoming

    High-risk systems & broad applicability

Most high-risk obligations apply and the bulk of the Act becomes generally applicable.

  4. Aug 2027Upcoming

    High-risk products under existing law

Obligations extend to high-risk AI embedded in products already covered by EU safety law.

Dates reflect the staggered application of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. This is general information and does not constitute legal advice.

Case 01

Embedding AI into crisis & resilience practice

Enterprise resilience · Big4

Context
A Big4 business-resilience practice wanted to adopt AI across crisis, trust, and reputation management without compromising defensibility.
Approach
Built a proof-of-concept automating enterprise-risk processes with AI/ML and LLMs, and designed the surrounding controls against ISO 22301 and NIS2.
Outcome
A working, governable path to AI-assisted resilience - automation paired with controls that stand up to scrutiny.
Case 02

Facilitating international AI-safety cohorts

AI safety education · International cohorts

Context
International technical and non-technical professionals needed to move from awareness of frontier-AI risk to applying it in their own domains.
Approach
Designed and facilitated cohorts across AI strategy, frontier governance, and technical safety - using incentive mapping, kill chains, and defence-in-depth.
Outcome
Participants left able to apply AI-strategy concepts in their own work - consistently reflected in their feedback.
Case 03

Standing up AI-ethics advocacy at EU level

AI policy · Non-profit

Context
Europe's AI-governance conversation needed credible, independent civil-society representation as the EU AI Act took shape.
Approach
Co-founded Encode Europe and led European strategy; participated in the EU AI Pact and engaged in the public policy conversation.
Outcome
An EU-level AI-ethics voice - cited in The Guardian and active in the EU AI Pact.
